No only used with the app and sounds on the Bose app. No calls or external music. Apparently it’s because the way they have designed the noises - they block snoring frequencies etc.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. These Earbuds are not sophisticated in that sense. They are a very basic product that plays 10 "soothing" sounds.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello, Mehul. Thank you for your question. The Bose Noise-masking sleepbuds were engineered specifically to help people fall asleep and enjoy deeper and more restful sleep. In order to achieve a form factor small enough to be comfortable for sleeping, we made the conscious decision to not stream audio (such as music or phone calls) to the sleepbuds. Instead, we store the sound files on each of the sleepbuds and play them back locally, dramatically extending battery life. We hope this helps. Have a great day! Jesse - Bose Support

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the Bose Noise-Masking Earbuds cannot be used to make phone calls. Nor can they be used to listen to music, podcasts, or any other digital content you may have. They are essentially white noise machines that you put in your ears. They are designed to pair only through the Bose Sleep app, and the only sounds they can play are predetermined by the app. Whether or not this will change is anyone's guess, but for the time being their use is strictly limited to playing sounds designed to help drown out background noise and help people sleep.
