Yes! While you can’t receive notifications alerting you to incoming text messages, you can be notified when a call comes in. This option is turned off by default, but you can enable it within the Bose Sleep app you download on your phone. It works beautifully. I had really bad insomnia before purchasing these and that’s no longer a problem for me. I can’t say enough good things about this product.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately, you cannot program them outside of their own system. They are designed to mask your phone (and other things) from disturbing you. However, you can set the buds to run for only set time and set the masking volume much lower. I do hear higher pitched noises (like smoke alarms) easier through the masking noises, so perhaps a higher pitched text tone will get your attention with a lower volume masking sound?
