I was so excited to finally get this speaker since I own or owned products from Bose and their products are always top premium. My main use for the speaker was to connect my laptop for TV streaming (polish TV, Netflix, You Tube etc) and have a great speaker experience. First of all the set up is super fast, easy and Bose application works great. Playing music from phone, Amazon music, Sirius was great as far as the sound and 360 experience. Using Alexa was also very well integrated and easy to use. The problem started with streaming videos and watching any video content from the computer. Everything works great until you go forward or back with video content or when your movie is buffering even for a second, this is when the audio lag starts. The sound from the speaker is about 0.2-0.5 second faster than the content you are watching so pretty much the voice does not follow the lips of person you are watching in your video. I have tried everything: you cannot update the driver on Bose because the newest is installed after set up, I rolled back my drivers, reinstalled audio Realtek on my laptop, tried different drivers for audio card (Microsoft, Toshiba, generic, you name it), run diagnostic for sound bluetooth, actual speaker to no avail. I connected this to my other laptop , same thing and I understand that You Tube for example is not proffesional video site but Netflix definitely is and has the same problem. The only way to make it work is to disconnect the Bose speaker and connect again but obviously that works if you do not do anything with you video, that means skipping ads, moving forward, stopping because it causes latency again. Obviously who wants to connect speaker back and forth after paying almost $400 and have that issue? I guess no one. My UE speaker work fine every time, even some cheap speaker that I use for biking has no problem working with computer but BOSE does. This is not what I have expected, and there is a lot of forums going on on the web with people having the same issues. I went back to Best Buy and returned it with a big regret because as for the sound it is a well made speaker. Sound specialist told me at Best Buy that this speaker is mostly designed to stream music and tend to have latency with streaming video content. I ended up with UE Megablast, works perfectly, timing is superb.
A:AnswerThe Bose speaker sounds great but the app does not recognized the speaker & I have never been able to connect to party mode. Which is very disappointing.
A:AnswerHi R, thank you for your question! The Portable Home Speaker does not have speakerphone capability as it does not support Hands-Free Protocol (HSP).
A:AnswerHi there! Thank you for your inquiry! Bluetooth disconnections can occur due to several factors, including low battery power, physical distance between devices, interference from other wireless signals, outdated firmware or drivers. To resolve this, ensure that both devices are fully charged, maintain close proximity between them, restart the devices, update firmware or drivers.

A:AnswerYes. you can easily use this as a bluetooth speaker with your iphone.
I generally use it via the Bose Music app but that only has a few approved music services like Pandora, Amazon, Sirius XM, Spotify, etc. It doesn't have a connection to Apple Music which forces you to use the bluetooth connection instead of your wifi network. Not a huge issue but means your phone has to be nearby.
A:AnswerIt has two ways to charge, the easiest and the option it comes with is with the C cable on both sides. It takes a regular plug from 2 to 3 hours and there is also an option but you have to buy it separately, a base with a magnet to charge it and you always leave it. on and therefore it will always be charged but I don't know if it damages the battery faster
A:AnswerNo, it's Bluetooth only, its a smart speaker so you can set it up to Alexa and play music without Bluetooth, but only spot to plug anything in is the power port for charging
A:AnswerThe light ring showing white in two places indicates that the speaker is paused. Please try asking it to play the music again, or see if you can resume it from the Bose Music app.
