Both versions of these headphones will play audio and take calls on most devices, regardless of brand. The specific differences are in the volume controls. Depending on which set you buy, your in-line volume +/- controls will work with either Apple or Samsung devices. We would suggest choosing them based on whichever device you use most often when on the go. Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought the Apple version and I use them with my ipod and my android phone and they work fine with both.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm going to defer to an expert here, but I did research on the same thing. Basically, these headphones only come one way. The other "in ear" headphones are customized to Apple, Android or Windows Phone. Those distinctions are in the cords and not the headsets. The cords have small buttons on them that allow for volume/pause/mute/play/etc. The electronic signals for those commands require some customization by headphone makers. I'm not sure if the customization is in the cords or headphones, but I know for a fact that you can certainly use any of those headphones for any model of phone. You will still get sound, but the buttons on the cords for the microphone/volume/pause/mute/play/etc. may not work. Again, those are for the 'in ear' models. This is an over the ear model and made, basically, for Apple products, I think. I find them to work fine for my Apple products but the volume buttons don't work on my Windows Phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The distinction has to do with the functionality of the in line mic and remote with android vs Apple devices.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't checked for the Bose QC25 specifically, but the only difference in general that I know of for headphone versions for different phones and players are how functional the controls on the cord are. The iPhone version will allow you to pick up and end calls using the cord controls, so you don't have to dig your phone out. You can also use them to pause/play, skip forward and back, etc. They would still allow you to listen to music on Android devices. You just couldn't use the controls on the cord for everything.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These headphones can act as a microphone/headset for your phone. It also has controls for volume on your phone. Those controls are different for iPhone and Android.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are an answer, volume up, and volume down buttons on the wire of the headset. These buttons will only work on their respective devices. However, everything else will work just fine. So if you buy the iPhone version and plug it into an android phone, everything will work fine but the three buttons.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've used it on both and have not noticed any difference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use these with my iPhone 5s and the phone has no idea what style of headphones are plugged in. Same using it with my computer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Android cannot control Volume. Apple works fine.
