• I bought this as a gift so can't answer from personal experience. But, I did a lot of research and the noise cancelling of the Quietcomfort 35 ii was rated very highly. That is why I got them. If dissatisfied, Best Buy has a great return policy

• The Bose QC35 will certainly handle the task, not sure how the authorities would feel about seeing them. I also have a set of soundsport earbuds from Bose that work really well and are a little more stealth.
