No, you cannot trade one Bose headset model with a protection plan for a different Bose headset model. If the protection plan you have is through Bose, you can only use it to get your current QC35 fixed, or for a refurbished version of the same model (QC35). If the protection plan you have is through Best Buy, you can use it to get your current QC35 fixed, or if it's not fixable, Best Buy will give you back the money you spent for the QC35 and then you can use that money to buy something else (like new headphones). But no, there is no direct "trading" with a "protection" plan. All a "protection" plan does is "protect" the device from defects/damage or improper functionality during the plan period. If the device has any of those issues during the plan period, you can contact the company that you have the protection plan with, and they will help you get the QC35 working as intended (generally via repair).
