“Is Alexa pre-installed on these? I’ve read that people are having problems updating the firmware from the Bose Connect App. It was suggested that I buy these with Alexa pre-installed. Hopefully a BestBuy employee could answer this question. Thank you.”

Alexa is not installed. The headphones link to your Alexa app on your phone.
