Q: QuestionThese headphones are “over the ear” which I take to mean “on the ear”. Do you still sell models that are “around the ear” like my old QC II’s?

• A:Answer I would call these “around the ears”. The cushions don’t sit on my ears at all. I also have several ear piercings and was worried these would be uncomfortable but they don’t bother me at all.

• A:Answer Yes, click bottom on left side once, you will get the battery %, click again and you will get "Aware', click a third time and you will get "Quiet", the two levels of sound cancelling. They do work well once you master this. Written directions would be nice to be included in the purchase.

• A:Answer The QuietComfort Headphones themselves are noise cancelling, courtesy of their mics which measure and cancel the surrounding noise. However, these microphones don't cancel background noise when you're using the mics on a call.

Q: QuestionI work at a manufacturing plant with lots of machinery noise so noise cancellation is top of the list. Sometimes I would listen to music, sometimes not and looking for just quiet. Would this headphone be ok for that or what is your recommendation?
