• You need to access the bose app to set up the product. I did this on my phone you may be able to do this on a computer but im not shure. But you will definitely need to use the app to set up the product. Certain features like bass treble and mid adjustment are done from the app so if you have no phone this could prevent you from using the product out of box

• Yes you can ....it has a optical cable or you can use a HDMI cable and it has Bluetooth capability too....
