“Is it possible to use the Bose 600 as rear surround speaker paired with Bose Ultra smart 900? If so, is there a major delay in using the 600 as surrounds while the 900 runs via eARC?”

You can pair these within the Bose Music app, however this is for listening to music, if you use this for TV there will be a clear audio to video delay due to the processing between the items. If you want rear speakers for your product, look at the Surround Speakers 700
