Set up can be tricky, especially the Bose Music app. I have Samsung tv but Cox cable. TV on off not an issue for me. I had difficulty with the setup too and so although I didn’t really want to I paid the Geek Squad $99 to install. I think it was worth it. All functions work great. I really enjoy the product. Hope this helps.
