Took a call to tech support. Older headsets like my QC 35’s must be paired by adding to a “group”. In the app, SimpleSync groups do not include the QC 35. So you must add a device to the group by telling it to pair. There is no prompt. Find SimpleSync (not easy) and select “find product”. Select pairing button on headphones and it will work. Not intuitive at all. Good luck.
