• It hooks up with either an HDMI or an Optical Cable. The sub is strictly wireless. Alexa within the soundbar does have to connect to your WiFi in order to work but follow the directions step by step on the quick setup guide inside your soundbar packaging. Literally 5 minutes and done. The only negative comment I have is the Alex enabled soundbar is NOT compatible to voice messaging which is a pain for people in a fast paced lifestyle

• Hi! Thank you for your question. The Soundbar 700 can hook up directly to your TV by either using a HDMI cable (HDMI ARC) or an optical cable. This will depend on the connections available on your TV. You do not need to connect the Soundbar to WiFi for it to operate with your TV. However, you do have the option at any point to connect it to WiFi to use the Bose Music app.
