QuestionI have a generation one solo. I find it hard to track my volume level as I have hearing aids and the solo sound doesn't show a volume bar on my tv screen. Do any of the Solo s after gen one give this ability. All we see is the green light blink showing

- Answer I just got the Solo 5 and it does not show volume levels. I wish it did but the voice enhancement function really makes up for it.

- Answer The Bose Solo 5 has Bluetooth wireless connectivity used to stream music from Bluetooth enabled smartphones, tablets, computers or othe audio devices to the sound bar. I am not sure why you would want to connect your wireless headphones to the soundbar in this case. Your headset must be paired to a Bluetooth enabled sound audio source, such as a TV, audio tuner, Bluray player, smartphone, tablet, etc.

QuestionMy husband and I both have difficulty hearing. It is hard for us to make out what they are saying, so my question is, would you recommend the Bose solo 5 or Samsung 3.1 for our situation.

- Answer I have bought both products before and i can tell you that you will get more power/bass with the 3.1 soundbar. However the 3.1 soundbar doesn't have dialog mode whereas the solo 5 does.. This helps you hear words better while still being clear. The solo 5 is also best used for small rooms because it has a lot less power. I personally bought the solo 5 and returned it for a bose solo 15 model because of how much more volume i can get from it. I also bought the 3.1 Samsung for the living room and it is tremendously loud.

- Answer NO... You'll need to get the SoundTouch 300 if you want a theater like experience, and the ability to add a subwoofer and surrounds.

- Answer There's really no advantage to connecting this with a receiver. It would be a waist of money to buy one, and adds a layer of complexity to the setup. If you already own the receiver you could use it if you really want to, but I'd recommend connecting all of your A/V devices to your TV and connecting the soundbar directly to the TV.

QuestionI put my Bose solo 5 soundbar behind my Sony Bravia 50 inch TV because It blocked the TV sensor.The TV sits on top of my fireplace mantle & does not sit on a stand. It sounds good but does anyone have any concerns about the placement of the soundbar?

- Answer um i personally wouldn't put it on top of a fireplace simply because i will have that anxiety feeling that my TV/soundbar would overheat.
