• The SoundDock Series III speaker is compatible with iPods and iPhones which utilize the 8 pin Lightning connector. The speaker will certainly playback streaming content from a docked device, such as iTunes Radio and iHeartRadio. Thanks for your question!

• Any music app you can pull up on your device can be heard through this system from my usage. Even when I get a phone call, the ringer comes through the speakers.
