• Not enough room for the charging cord and plug in the carrying case Wonder why!

• Hello Roger, thanks for asking. The carry case is designed to protect the speaker and does not have room for the accessories. Perhaps you're thinking about the SoundLink Mini II which includes a power adapter and a charging base.
