A:Answer Wattage is a poor means of evaluating a speaker. The only reason one would apply wattage is to rationalize a speaker which does not sound good enough by stating it has a higher wattage. The speaker volume, sound and clarity is purely subjective, and you simply have to trust your ears. Make sure that the device you are connecting to is turned up all the way as well. If you use the APP you can set certain parameters of the speaker to make it sound different (I believe there is bass boost...not 100% certain). I find it to be one of the most accurate bluetooth speakers I've heard, and find it to have plenty of volume. Bose also makes the much louder "Revolve +" speaker (which I own as well). The sound quality of all of them is top notch from my perspective (I got into music school on Violin, and played the bass). But again, follow your ears. No reason to keep it if you don't like it. Put it side by side with another one and perhaps you will like the other better.
