Hello. Thank you for the great questions! The SoundLink Micro Bluetooth speaker will take approximately 4 hours to go through a full charging cycle (0-100% battery life). It will play for 6 hours at normal listening levels. We don't have an exact number for play time at maximum volume, but you can expect it to be less than the 6 hours. We also don't have an exact sound intensity (dB) specification available to provide, but we can say that for the small size of this speaker, you will definitely be impressed by what you hear! Seriously..it feels that way, especially at first but the manual says it takes around 4 hours to fully charge the battery. 6 hours is the average time for play-ability but at max volume the battery will drain as fast as it needs to..depending on many factors, like heat (temperature inside/outside the device), bass heavy sounds and other things. And most of these mini speakers can output between 75-85 decibels (anything over 90db's distorts & stresses the speakers)..well that's true for many speakers regardless of size. Useful tip?? I have little to no issues with charging anything with batteries and having it last because i follow the 'charge slow..drain slow' method with every new battery. And then i use the 'drain the battery slow' method every so often when i start using the device regularly. Useful, since i will be using this speaker daily & playing it loud often. And heat! Minimizing and managing internal/external heat keeps any electronic device working properly..
