• Yes— I use it in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and even garage. My I pad is in the kitchen...central location in the house.

• Hello IKaye, whilist this speaker is not an Amazon device, you can plug it into your Echo via an AUX cord and it will play the audio from the supported Echo.
