Yes it will work fine. I did same thing. Button for volume. Won't work that are built on headset.but volume on your phone will. I even make calls with them on s8/note 8.for the price you can't find a better set.

If you get the Bose headphones/ear buds that are made for iPods, iPhone, iPad but use them for an Android or Windows system the only complaint would be that, if you have a version with a microphone the microphone will not work on them when used for anything but iPhone, iPad, iPod. This is what I was told so I got android version so I dont know how accurate he was about this information.
