- Answer Yes, they are plugs & since they are plugs, I use an adapter to get them to connect with my iPhone.

- Answer They work in these apps with the iPhone if you buy the one made for Apple. If not and you are using android ones they will work the pause and play but no other controls work. you want to make sure you get the right ones for YOUR device Android ones do not work well on Apple and Vice versa.

- Answer Bose makes another model that is noise cancellin these are not them ...and yes you can get noise cancelation alone with out music ..and they do plug into most modern airlingn entertainment systems
