You don't need to. HDMI ARC makes it to where any sound that comes through your TV will play through the soundbar. The optical cable option will do the same thing. So if you have an Apple TV, a PS4, and an Xbox One all connected to your TV via HDMI, They will all play through the soundbar that is connected via optical cable or HDMI ARC.
