It wouldn't be the Apple cable that you use to connect it but there is another option besides a bluetooth adaptor. You can use a simple audio cable to connect the two. For the 1 cd version of the system, it would be a 3.5mm male to male audio cable. If you have the additional cd changer with the system, it would be a 3.5mm to RCA male cable (commonly known as a Y cable). For the best possible audio quality, it is best to have the ipad volume turned up about 90% and control the volume off of the Wave.
