“I ordered a Boss BRT26 and hard wired it to a rocker and both battery ground and speaker ground are fused together on the ground pin of switch. Toggle switch is working correctly and have correct voltage leaving switch but speaker won’t power on.”

I have the boss bred 46 which is the bigger brother to this. I had a similar problem with mine where the dome light powered on but the speaker wouldn’t power on. It did not come with the remote module. There was a blue wire for the remote that I didn’t hook up but it needed to be powered. I hooked it up to a 12 volt source and voila it worked. Not sure if this is the problem your having but worked for me. Hope this helps. Also I had to put the blue wire to a switch as it would slowly drain the battery over time.
