No. The holder can accomodate a Google 8 Pro with ease. Just be sure your base is secure and try to avoid setting it up in high traffic areas where it can easily be bumped ito and knocked over.

I can hold the weight of an ipad air as it's lighter BUT, NOT with the phone holder. You'll need to get a holder for the ipad .
