- Answer Hello Jim, the Marantz Model M1 features HDMI, Optical, and RCA inputs, along with Bluetooth and HEOS compatibility. Bluetooth audio quality has significantly improved, providing excellent sound. If your laptop has HDMI, RCA, or Optical output, you can use a wired connection to send audio directly from your laptop to the Model M1. Additionally, the M1 includes HEOS, which allows you to stream music from your phone's storage, or from your favorite apps using a Wi-Fi connection. Apps like Tidal and Spotify now have their Connect platform available as well. The Model M1 is well-equipped and pairs nicely with our 607 S3 speakers.

QuestionCan I connect my laptop with the speakers so music would go to the speakers instead of my laptop? Do i need to buy any special equipment to connect with wire from laptop to speakers?

- Answer Hello Jim, The Bowers & Wilkins 607 S3 speakers are passive and require an amplified signal to function. An amplifier must be placed between the laptop and the speakers. I recommend the Marantz Model M1. Music from your laptop can be streamed to the M1 via wi-fi.

QuestionHow do these compare to the satallite speakers? Cost vs output comparison ? Mainly, for a home movie room, is the extra cost really worth it? is there a recommended RMS for this bookshelf?

- Answer Hello, typically, bookshelf speakers outperform most satellite speakers in home theater and music applications. The recommended amplifier power for these speakers is between 30W and 100W into 8 ohms.

- Answer The oak finish features a dark grey grill with oak sides and a white front baffle. The black finish features a black grill with a black sides and a black front baffle.

- Answer Hello. Our bookshelf speakers can indeed be placed on a bookshelf and perform well. In many cases however, users find they offer their best performance when placed on a stand away from walls.
