Hey there - The 5.1S Stowable Bench is not a hyper/back extension bench, however, it has 6 different adjustment angles for total versatility: 30°, 45°, 60° 90°, flat and decline (-20°). We hope this helps! - Bowflex Team

You don’t have the full range of motion, getting a bench specifically made for hyperback extension would be better. But you can if you really want too, personally i use it more for bench pressing.
