“Does this extend up or will the phone always be that low to the base of the mount?”

• It doesn't extend up. Always low. It ends up blocking the use of my other cup holder too.

• Mine does not extend. I think you purchase with the height you think you prefer.

The stem on the mount does not extend higher, but if you would prefer a mount that is closer to eye level I would recommend looking into our other mount applications such as dashboard, windshield, air vent and CD Slot mounts.
