• The Joule is really quiet. There's just a very low hum that I usually don't notice. I've heard other sous vide brands are more noisy.

• The Breville® - Joule® CS10001 Sous Vide Stainless Steel does not make much noise at all.

• It makes a sound but its not loud at all … It’s app features and how it looks was the main thing for me I don’t care much of the little sound it makes.. it has to make some sound so I can tell it’s ON and working… I set it and forget it and I just get reminders on my phone from the app … I love it and it’s one of my favorite kitchen gadget.
