• Yes this oven can bake bread, as far as how hot, the outside gets quite warm but not to warm to burn you on if you touch it.

• Using the Bake selection you set the temperature you need. On the Bake selection the highest temp is 450. It has been a long time since I baked bread, I would assume it is doable. I made a Lemon Meringue Pie in my oven.
