I went to Lowes and bought a ceramic tile to fit under it and Lowes will do one cut free. I found the exact size I needed for $1.90. I think wood is not he best idea for an appliance that heats. But to each his own.

The only caution here is to make sure you have nothing that blocks the sides and back for venting the heat. There should be nothing stacked against it. Also do not store anything on the top of the oven while you are using it. You can place plates there to warm them up before serving. Just be careful, they can get really hot. Your cart sounds perfect for the Breville. Also be sure to close the door slowly and softly. Do not let it bang shut or you will invariably have the spring break for the door. It is unfortunately one of the design flaws of this oven. You may be able to have your door stay open a crack. (It's supposed to do this) Ours did not, when we got it and it means the spring on the left side is off its track. I have chosen not to bring it back in because it will break again. Other than that, this is a really fabulous oven.
