Reheat , Toast and Warm: NO SMOKE

Not particularly at all, certainly not as much as the traditional home oven can. Be sure to avoid food contacting the heating elements and to use a tray to avoid spills which may result in smoking from food contacting the hot quartz elements and you should not have any issue.

Just LOVE my Breville Smart Oven! 
I've used the WARM, REHEAT, TOAST, BAGEL, DEFROST, BAKE and BROIL features and, to date, there have been no smoke issues, I have NOT; however, broiled chicken, fish or meat. I highly recommend this product.
