- Answer No it is not self tamping. You do it yourself. You will feel like a barista while using this machine. It’s pretty fun. I will one of these days make a design in my coffee. I try everyday. Lol

QuestionI like extra dry cappuccinos, will the frothing wand foam up real well or will I get a latte? Just returned a machine for only producing steamed milk.

- Answer You can set it to froth as much as you like. I have always gotten a good amount of froth but only use just a little milk. I think if you use too much milk you get hot milk on the bottom but still a good amount of froth on top. My daughter froths it twice because who doesn't love froth! So to answer your question, you do get a lot of froth with this machine but if you like it extra dry, spoon the froth off the top to avoid any hot milk in the bottom.

- Answer There is no 'Hot Chocolate' or 'Mocha' setting on the Breville® BES880 Barista™ Touch. It does have programmed drinks for espresso, latte, cappuccino, flat white and americano.

- Answer Hey! I ordered this machine on like December 1st. My machine didn’t arrive until just a couple days ago 01/04/2021. I heard that breville was halting ALL shipments to come software update and wasn’t shipping anything to anyone (direct buyers or distributors). I am sure the machines will all be on the shelves soon since breville is now shipping

- Answer I believe it reaches 15 bars of pressure. It pre-infuses at a lower pressure. I've been using mine daily for the past two months to make an average of three double shots. I've been very satisfied.
