• Its hot (glass and top of microwave). but not that it burns your hand. I've cooked over 30 mins. with small kids you should be careful.

• The outside does get warm, but even at the max time I can still touch the outside. I have mine in a wooden cabinet and it's fine.

• personally I've in quartz countertop and not in cabinets. I've cooked over 30 mins. top of microwave will get hot and not that it burns your hand.

• Not very hot. It immediately engages the cooling fan as soon as the cycle is finished.

• The heat of the exterior of the Breville® BMO870 Combi Wave™ Microwave depends on the function being used. Air Fry and Convection will get the exterior of the oven hot.
