Questionis this a good substitute for your toaster? Ive heard that it takes twice as long to toast bread...is that correct?

- Answer Having had multiple different typical toasters throughout the years, as well as a handful of different toaster ovens - most of the previous toaster ovens worked as toasters, but not usually too well, and I would say did take much longer than a dedicated toaster. But this Breville oven toasts exceptionally well and is certainly a good substitute. It honestly might take slightly longer than some dedicated toasters, but it certainly does a quicker and better job than any toaster oven I've had before.

- Answer Cleaning should be accomplished regularly to avoid stains baking on repeatedly and becoming semi-permanent. The unit features a non-stick coating on the interior to help make this process relatively easy; however, over time as stains repeatedly are baked on they will become very difficult to manage. Try a paste of baking soda and water applied to the area allowed to dry and then wiped away with a damp cloth.

- Answer I don’t know of any cookbooks, but before I bought my Oven Air, I watched this video by a vlogger named Nutmeg. In the video, she shows how she air frys a whole slew of vegetables in a short period of time. Her video is one of the reasons I purchased this oven. - Answer We do not recommend installing our toaster ovens into cabinetry or mounting as they require 4 inches of clearance on all sides for proper ventilation and as they are not insulated appliances.

- Answer In the bake mode 450 is the highest temp. in the broil mode it is 500F . THIS OVEN HAS TO BE PLUGGED INTO A 20 AMP OUTLET, 15 amps won,t do it!

- Answer While the BOV845 Smart Oven Pro has the convection function, it does not have the Air Fry function. It's the BOV860 Smart Oven Air Fryer and BOV900 Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro that have the Air Fry function.

- Answer You could spray Pam on the air fryer rack, but I imagine the heat would eventually cause a gummy oil film. We have never needed any kind of release agent with this rack because the grids are small and food releases easily. Most of the foods we air fry already have some oil in them, therefore no extra has been needed.

- Answer The outer housing is just over 21" wide, just under 14" deep (handle adds ~2 1/2" to the front), and ~12 1/2 inches tall. The cooking space is ~16 1/2" × 12 1/2" × 8" with grooves for the shelves about 3", 4", and 5 1/2" from the bottom of the cook space, not counting the extra clearance underneath where the drip tray pulls out like a drawer. Hope this helps.

- Answer The Smart Oven Air is most comparable to an actual conventional oven, and not a microwave. Popcorn should not be made in the toaster oven, for safety reasons of the bag coming into contact with the quartz elements.
