Yes, it can be used as a ventless range hood

Yes it can. Not having any kind of venting system is one of the reasons we chose this one. Have only had it a few weeks but boy I am liking it. The exhaust feature is rather loud. I only used it once to clear the smoke, and it did it quit well. It has two separate lights that has three different light levels; which I also like. I use it as a dimmer light in the kitchen, but will turn it to high when I'm cooking. I love the light that it gives off. And best of all, there's no bulbs to change out! I'm glad I chose this hood.
