Q: QuestionWe are replacing an under cabinet range hood that is not vented. Can this hood be installed ventless?

• A:Answer Yes. We just replaced this few weeks ago. IT IS VENTED OR VENTLESS... You just remove little metal panel covers off top with a screwdriver. New design that hangs out slightly past edge of cabinet to vent without duct venting. The electrician thought we were wrong & it was only for outside vented until we called the store because the instructions didn't show to remove the little metal plate covers. Very simple, took less than a minute to take off.

• A:Answer I don't know what charcoal filters are, so I'd have to say no to your question. It has two filters that comes in and out very easily. Can rinse under water or be washed in the dishwasher. The lights are not bulbs! So you never have to change them out! I love that. And their bright. It has 3 light levels. I use the lower one as a kitchen night light and the brightest one to cook with. I'm quit pleased with this hood.

• A:Answer Thank you for your question regarding model number BCDF130SS. The non-ducted vents are located on the top of the hood at the front center. The non-ducted plate should be removed before installation to expose the vents for this type of installation.

Q: QuestionWhat is the height? This would be going under a cabinet. It does not have a vent. Saw that this is fine. The current hood has a height of 7 inches. Attached is a photo. It is sheet rock behind the current one. with tile below it.
