• Depending upon the size of the original receipt you may use the sheet feeder or scan them manually by lifting the top cover

• Best to scan manually. The automatic feeder works best with 8-1/2 x 11 or 8-1/2 x 14 paper.

• This printer can scan anything that is 8 1/2 by 11" or less. You can set it to use the ADF but I have not tried scanning receipts that way.
