• Once the file is saved, it can be emailed just like any other file. The only cord that came with my scanner is the usb connection that connects directly to my laptop. I would think if you plug the usb into a wall adapter or into some sort of compatible batter pack it would power the scanner.

• Unfortunately the Brother DS740D machine is not compatible with Mobile devices. This machine is powered by an USB cable connected to the computer.
