• Mine prints normal. Not real dark nor real light. As far as the cost of toner cartridges I never buy manufacturers toner cartridges, unless I find a well priced one on eBay. I buy high capacity third party toner cartridges.

• Print quality is very good. Don't know how efficient the toner cartridge will be, but I always purchase LD toners (I use both Laser and Inkjet printers. Much more economical than Original Mfg. Brands.
