“1- Can it print 8.5x14? Will the tray close when loaded with legal or stay open like w hp printers? 2 - can it auto select size when printing pdf? I know it prints pdf's but can it switch to the correct size when sizes are mixed? some letter some legal”

The HL-L8360CDWT will print on 8.5 x 14 paper using the multipurpose tray. If different size paper is configured on the control panel for the paper trays, the machine will automatically print from the appropriate paper tray if Auto Select is set as the Paper Source in the printer driver. Auto Select is the default setting.
