“We are trying to find a suitable replacement for our defunct HP Officejet Pro 8600, which worked well and we could scan to our local network folder. Will the MFC-J4535DW printer work with Linux? If so, will it scan to email and/or scan to pdf?”

• I have never used Linux but I can scan to email and pdf if that helps.

• The Brother MFCJ4535DW does support scanning to a network folder. This machine is compatible with Linux OS. This machine can scan to a PDF file or email.
