“I know this printer can't do automatic duplex scanning. Is there a manual method to do 2-sided scanning using the auto-document feeder? I've seen other scanners that scan the first side, then you put the stack back into the ADF to scan the back.”

• I’ve had no problem doing double-sided scanning using the automatic document feeder. What the printer does not do is double-sided photocopying. To get a double-sided photocopy, you first have to scan the document and then do a double-sided print job of the scanned document.

• To scan a 2-sided document using the Brother MFC-J4535DW machine you would need to manually flip the pages and place them back into the auto document feeder to scan the second side.
