“I don't do a lot of printing but occasionally do need a printer to print out documents or photos for greeting cards. If I don't print for an extended period of time, will the ink dry up and not work?”

Due to the nature of the INKvestment TANK technology, once they are installed in the machine, and a power source is continually connected, they are not at risk of drying out.

Please try again later.I also print infrequently and my Brother Ink cartridges do stop functioning and I must replace them even though I can see liquid in the cartridge window. I use LC20C cartridges and it is usually the yellow that runs out and then the printer refuses to print even if I ask for gray/black print only. I have a Brother Model MFC-J985DW
