I use all the ink I can until the printer stops printing then I replace the ink.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The ink that is left in the cartridge is extra amount of ink added to each cartridge. This ink is not included in the page yield. The extra ink is to allow for additional automatic cleanings if the cartridge is not replaced right away. This is a safety measure that Brother institutes into the design of the machine to prevent automatic cleanings with 0 ink left in the cartridge. If the machine cleans with 0 ink in the cartridge, it will suck in air and cause the print head to dry up and fail. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.i use it till the printer stops working. Toward the end the ink color will start to fade. When dry, the printer stops. I usually get lots more pages. Ink alert is set to show when optimal color is at risk, but it'll keep going.
