No, the cartridge is not compatible with the MFC-J985DW cartridges.

Please try again later.What I do each time I get a new printer - I go to brother.com look at the ink for my new printer - because sometimes that information does not come with your printer or if you buy a used printer. I have also learned that with Brothers new printers they will only take Brother ink....so don't order the ones that say we can get you lower cost. Hope this helps!
