• You have to look up your specific printer to select the proper cartridge. I have an older model of my Brother printer as well and the cartridge is different. I highly recommend using genuine Brother Cartridges only, and NOT Brother "compatible" cartridges.

• No, the Brother MFCJ475DW is not compatible with the LC401XLBK Ink. The compatible Inks for the Brother MFCJ475DW are: LC101BK, LC101Y, LC101M, LC101C And LC103BK, LC103Y, LC103M, LC103C.
