Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That printer uses the LC-75 ink series.The numbering system is LC-75 followed by a letter indicating the color, LC75Y=Yellow, LC75M=Magenta etc

If not, google Brother.com printers and once in website then click products (printers), insert printer number info in search menu at the very top. Click accessories, for mfcj 435w you'll find the cartridge to be LC75. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ella, I just saw your question about ink cartridges for your MFC-J435W printer. It uses the LC71 (Standard size) or LC75 (Extra capacity) series of cartridges, which are the same as the ones for my MFC-J825DW machine. They are very reasonably priced at BestBuy.com and the BestBuy retail stores will match the online price or order the ink for you if it is out of stock at the store. Incidentally, I'm in no way associated with BestBut except as an occasional customer. Hope this has been helpful to you. Dave
