• yes but they will not give you the same # of pages as what the replacements do. I think its about 1,000 pages that comes with the printer and over 2,000 for a new one. but buy only Brother cartridges. You are taking a chance with others.

• Yes, this printer comes with a set of toner cartridges. I bought mine last year and I haven't had to replace them yet (moderate use).
