I didn't have that problem at all. It takes a minute for the transmission to initiate but then all the pages start coming together very quickly with no issue at all.

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. I complained about it to Brother and they had me try all sorts of things: go into this and click that...That type of thing. Nothing happened. It took me 5 minutes to copy the front of a birthday card, in color. It took me 3 minutes to copy a sheet with 2 lines of print. Finally I called Brother again and told the lady to stay on the phone and listen to my machine so we both can time this and report how long it takes. It took me 5 minutes. I told her to please put this information in my file so I can verify what I am saying. It does no good. I am really NOT SATISFIED WITH THIS MACHINE. IT COPIES, SCANS, FAXES AND PRINTS. I had a picture that was 8x10 and wanted to make 4x6. It told me I could not do that size. ***I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BROTHER MODEL MFC-J480DW.......
